• X also known as the Vasin-Shcherbakov Theory, is a hypothesis
that claims the X may actually be an alien spacecraft. The
hypothesis was put forth by two members of the then Soviet
Academy of Sciences, Michael Vasin and Alexander Shcherbakov,
in a July 1970 article entitled "Is the X the Creation of Alien
Intelligence?".
• Vasin and Shcherbakov's thesis was that the X is a hollowed-out
planetoid created by unknown beings with technology far superior to
any on Earth. Huge machines would have been used to melt rock
and form large cavities within the X, with the resulting molten lava
spewing out onto the X's surface. The X would therefore consist of a
hull-like inner shell and an outer shell made from metallic rocky slag.
For reasons unknown, the "Spaceship X" was then placed into orbit
around the Earth….Just Id X?

• I read this book, and I was totally stunned. At the same time I was
pretty upset with myself that I didn't know this book. I live in
Amsterdam where Anne Frank is a national hero, and for me this
book read like Anne Frank's diary but written 97 years before – a
firsthand account of slavery. I basically made it my passion to make
this book into a film.[

• The word X comes from the Sanskrit word for womb and so implies
gestation or pregnancy - life. Traditionally, the dance is performed
around a clay lantern with a light inside, called a X Deep. This
lantern represents life; the fetus in the womb in particular. The
dancers thus honor Durga, the feminine form of divinity.
• X is performed in a circle as a symbol of the Hindu view of time.
The rings of dancers revolve in cycles, as time in Hinduism is
cyclical. As the cycle of time revolves, from birth, to life, to death
and again to rebirth, The X Deep has another symbolic
interpretation. The vessel itself is a symbol of the body, within
whom Divinity (in the form of the Goddess) resides. X is danced
around this symbol to honor the fact that all humans have the
Divine energy of Devi within them. X is now being appreciated
worldwide. Id the dance?

In the mid-19th century, Britain experienced an influx of Irish
immigrants, who swelled the populations of the major cities,
including the East End of London. From 1882, Jewish refugees from
pogroms in Tsarist Russia and other areas of Eastern Europe
emigrated into the same area. The civil parish of Whitechapel in
London's East End became increasingly overcrowded. Robbery,
violence and alcohol dependency were commonplace, and the
endemic poverty drove many women to prostitution. In October
1888, London's Metropolitan Police Service estimated that there
were 62 brothels and 1,200 women working as prostitutes in
Whitechapel.Anti-semitism, crime, nativism, racism, social
disturbance, and severe deprivation fed public perceptions that
Whitechapel was a notorious den of immorality.
