- A podcast is a recording – sometimes referred to as amateur radio. broadcast over the web and is broken up into parts or episodes. Most podcasts are similar to news radio programs and deliver information on a regular basis, while some podcasts are comedy shows or even special music broadcasts .It is easier than ever to create them and even have students do their own. You may have heard the terms vodcast, webcast, vlogger – these all contain video or screencasts. Today we will take a look at just audio podcasts.
- You probably already use video clips from youtube and teacher tube, but there are many educational audio podcasts available.
- Podcasts from language learning to ones from NASA. The web address will give you information on how to find podcasts and download them.
- To find podcasts in Itunes - use search
- Use Advanced Search to find Education Podcasts.
- Fun to do, but remember it isn't about the technology – be sure to look at the content.
- Headsets: $20 up No background noise - Microphones about the same... Benefits – doesn't pick up background noise as much as just using the built in microphone. Play 2 clips Tony Matt Zeb
- The more you plan ahead of time the better the podcast will be. You will still have to do some editing, but not so much.
