The Pure Land Foundation was established by Bruno Wang to realise his charitable objectives. Bruno Wang is a London-based Chinese businessman, philanthropist and cultural patron. The name of the Pure Land Foundation is inspired by the Buddhist concept of "pure land", a realm of higher consciousness, bliss and peace. While the Foundation is not based in any religion, it is founded on a belief in supporting the creation of harmony and wellness, thereby establishing a sense of "pure land" in our lives. We believe that art and music help us recognise the vibrations of harmony, which is the higher order that exists in all forms of creation. Therefore, the Foundation primarily focuses on supporting programmes and projects in art, in music and in the restoration of physical, spiritual and social wellbeing.
