Our Ideal School Elementary, Grades Kindergarten through Sixth Public School Suburban school Strong beliefs and values. Encouraging that “Every Child, Everyday, Achieves Success in Everyway” Approximately 500 students Full Day Kindergarten Kindergarten and First grade will each have 2 assistants per grade level to assistant teachers and students Second through Sixth grade will each have an assistant for the grade level Class Ratio Kindergarten – Second Grade 1:22 Third Grade – Sixth Grade 1:25

Our Mission Statement “Brown Rock Elementary” has a welcoming and caring environment for students, faculty, and families. We believe in and maintain strong partnerships among students, staff, families, and community. We believe these partnerships assist all students in achieving personal excellence in academics and in life, critical thinking, problem solving, personal development, and community awareness. As a staff we believe that every child can achieve success every day.
Our Core Beliefs Collaboration All Stakeholders will work together to create a positive and safe environment for all students to succeed.  Each member of the team will work together for our common goal. Respect We will create and maintain a high level of respect for all students, teachers, and staff regardless of any differences we may have.
Our Core Beliefs Excellence We believe that all students have the ability to learn at high levels.  It is our belief that students will achieve excellence in all critical  skills.  Ownership Each team member will take responsibility for themselves.  We will not make excuses and will not accept failure.
Curricular Programs To use data to increase student achievement at every grade level To create engaging instruction according to the Indiana Department of Education standards at each grade level To provide opportunities for educator growth through professional development opportunities and “best teaching practices” seminars

Preparing for a Democratic Society… Teach students to be good citizens through      leading by example. Provide opportunities for students to       partake in school fundraisers, charity collections,     and classroom donations. Allow students to volunteer and earn good     citizenship by donating their  time for       various school activities. Provide time for students to become      involved in the community around them.

We believe in and maintain strong partnerships among students, staff, families, and community. We believe these partnerships assist all students in achieving personal excellence in academics and in life, critical thinking, problem solving, personal development, and community awareness. As a staff we believe that every child can achieve success every day.
