The Ports-ta-Plains Alliance focus continues to be the improvement of our infrastructure and economic growth throughout our region. In 2011 we saw successes on many fronts. We have worked closely with the Texas Department of Transportation to identify more than $225 million in projects along t he corridor that can be constructed with Proposition 12 bond funds. The Texas Transportation Commission approved those funds September of 2011, and we will see construction on many of these important projects beginning this summer. These dollars are in addition to the hundreds of millions of dollars in projects currently under construction throughout the corridor.
