proverb that says, “Practice makes a man perfect.” This
well suits for improving the read skills.
As teachers/educators and parents, it is our responsibility
to make students read well.

3. Here are few methods to improve reading ability in
students:-

Create them opportunities such as preparing charts with
pictures & words and post in on the walls which enables
them to read and encourage them to do so.
*Ask students to read aloud in the classroom, make sure
everyone gets a chance to read. This can be practiced in
home too.
*If possible buy newspapers, magazines etc.., allocate
reading hour for the students. While they read those things
see to that they have a dictionary with them so that they
can understand what they learn.

4. *Take students to library which is great place for
improving the reading ability.
*Ask them to read books that are interested to read more
such as story books, novels and book on general topics as
this has the capacity to increase the reading speed.
*Help the students to relate what they are reading with the
happenings in their day to day life.
* Assign students reading assignments and ask them to
mark the words or sentence that they could not understand.
Next day have a discussion regarding the same and make
the students know the words/sentence clearly.

5. * Make use of audio books or text/ to/ speech tool which
will help the students to listen and read accordingly with
the reading material they have in their hand.
* Include creative and innovative ideas to make students
love reading.
