LIBM/ITEC6340: Media Design & Production I
Design & Production I 1
Assignment: Media Project Creations I
Educators and trainers at all levels make choices about both the content and process of curriculum. As designers of
media, participants must gain experience organizing, creating, and applying media projects to lessons/learning. This
experience is designed to give the participant experiences related to creating and identifying learners and topics for
media project creations.
A. Process
There are four primary steps to this exercise:
• Identify one technology project that could be used in a subject area topic/lesson. These projects can come
from Conover’s Technology Projects text or be of your own creation.
• The ABCD Objectives Checklist must be used to identify the learners and lesson/topic objectives with the
project.
• Reflect on the process of creating the projects in a reflective summary (Reflective summaries are not to be
less than a page and a half).
B. Product
Each student will submit the following products:
• A project write-up for the project which includes:
o ABCD Objectives Checklist
o Lesson scenario (who’s involved, what’s involved, when/amount of time, where, how)
o The media project, a completed version, step-by-step directions/handouts, etc.
• A 1-2 page reflection on the process of creating the media project including the questions shown below, but
not limited to:
o As a future multimedia developer, what did you learn from this experience?
o What else did you need to know to effectively implement the projects?
o Of what value was this experience?
o What insight have you gained about YOURSELF, as a result of this experience?
Cover sheet Info: Name, Term, Course Name, Course Number, Assignment Title.
APA 6th Edition is THE writing style guide to refer to for all writing of assignments.
