What is a Hybrid Vehicle?
 A hybrid vehicle is an automobile that has two or
more major sources of propulsion power.
 Most hybrid vehicles currently marketed
to consumers have both conventional
gasoline and electric motors.
 Other power sources may include hydrogen,
propane, CNG, and solar energy, wind
energy .
INTRODUCTION
 With volatality in petrol prices and other escalating costs,
private transport system has become a costly affair, but scaling
down fares is a daunting task.
 Innovation has answer to all problems.
 Efficient use of solar, wind and shock absorber are viable
alternatives to cut fares and ensure clean and green environment
 We came up with a novel idea of designing a hybrid car powered
by solar, wind and shock absorber to support as a power source.
DESCRIPTION OF THREE SOURCES
OF ENERGY

Shock absorber
New shock absorber technology will convert those bumps
and potholes into useful energy
INTRODUCTION
The shock absorber harvests energy from vibrations
experienced by a vehicle's suspension system into
electricity that can charge the battery and power
vehicle electronics
An energy-harvesting shock absorber that can
be installed in a vehicle’s suspension system to
absorb the energy from bumps in the road,
convert the energy into electricity, and improve
fuel efficiency by 1-8%
This design of shock absorber is done by David
chandler of MIT in 2009. The device consists of two
components - a hollow coil assembly and a magnet
assembly that uses vibrational energy from the
vehicle’s suspension to move up and down inside it.
Design
The magnets are arranged with like-poles of adjacent
magnets facing each other to help push the magnetic
flux outward. The magnetic assembly is encased in an
outer cylinder made of high magnetically permeable
material to further increase magnetic flux density in
the coils.

SOLAR ARRAY
 Collect the energy
from the sun and
converts it into
usable electrical
energy.
HOW SOLAR ARRAY CHANGE SUNLIGHT
TO USABLE ENERGY
 First thing the solar
array collect sunlight
together.
 When sunlight is
collected together. It
immediately change
the sunlight to
electricity.
 Next step is to the
power tracker.
POWER TRACKERS
 Power trackers
convert the solar
array voltage to the
system voltage.
Power tracker role
 In this step the power
tracker in the car receive
the energy from the solar
array, and change the
energy that it receive to
energy that the car can
be use.
BATTERIES
 The batteries store
energy from the
power tracker and
makes them available
for the motor's use.
Use of battery
 After the power tracker
convert the energy to the
energy that is usable for
the car, it send to the
battery then the battery
store the energy.
 This energy is send to the
motor and controller to
make the car run.
MOTOR & CONTROLLER
 The motor controller
adjusts the amount
of energy that flows
to the motor to
correspond to the
throttle.
 The motor uses that
energy to drive the
wheels
HOW SOLAR-POWER CAR RUNS
 When the energy is
send from the
battery to the motor,
the motor adjust the
amount of energy
that flows to the
throttle. The motors
use the energy that
receive to run the
wheel.
 This is the process
how solar car runs
Wind Energy Car
CONCEPT
 A wind-powered car converts wind power into electric
energy, thereby helping the car to move forward
 there’s an intake valve seated on the roof to a mass
all the wind needed to power the car.
 An alternator connects to the intake valve which
converts the kinetic energy to electrical energy.
 This electrical energy is connected to a DC battery
pack which is the source of power to a controller.
 This controller converts the DC voltage to AC three
phase voltage with the help of power diodes
WORKING PRINCIPLE
 When the car runs to get the most out of the
smallest surface we have to use a turbine with a
large contact surface. Such turbine will have only
one active side.
it would be better to bend the airstream onto the
active area like this:
This ornament increases the efficiency of the wind turbine.

What is a Hybrid Vehicle?  A hybrid vehicle is an automobile that has two or more major sources of propulsion power.  Most hybrid vehicles currently marketed to consumers have both conventional gasoline and electric motors.  Other power sources may include hydrogen, propane, CNG, and solar energy, wind energy .
  • 3. INTRODUCTION  With volatality in petrol prices and other escalating costs, private transport system has become a costly affair, but scaling down fares is a daunting task.  Innovation has answer to all problems.  Efficient use of solar, wind and shock absorber are viable alternatives to cut fares and ensure clean and green environment  We came up with a novel idea of designing a hybrid car powered by solar, wind and shock absorber to support as a power source.
  • 4. DESCRIPTION OF THREE SOURCES OF ENERGY USED IN HYBRID CAR SHOCK ABSORBER SOLAR ENERGY WIND ENERGY

INTRODUCTION The shock absorber harvests energy from vibrations experienced by a vehicle's suspension system into electricity that can charge the battery and power vehicle electronics An energy-harvesting shock absorber that can be installed in a vehicle’s suspension system to absorb the energy from bumps in the road, convert the energy into electricity, and improve fuel efficiency by 1-8%
  • 7. This design of shock absorber is done by David chandler of MIT in 2009. The device consists of two components - a hollow coil assembly and a magnet assembly that uses vibrational energy from the vehicle’s suspension to move up and down inside it. Design
  • 8. The magnets are arranged with like-poles of adjacent magnets facing each other to help push the magnetic flux outward. The magnetic assembly is encased in an outer cylinder made of high magnetically permeable material to further increase magnetic flux density in the coils. CONT…..
  • 11. COMPONENTS  Solar Array  Power Trackers  Batteries  Motor & Controller SOLAR ARRAY  Collect the energy from the sun and converts it into usable electrical energy.
  • 12. HOW SOLAR ARRAY CHANGE SUNLIGHT TO USABLE ENERGY  First thing the solar array collect sunlight together.  When sunlight is collected together. It immediately change the sunlight to electricity.  Next step is to the power tracker.
  • 13. POWER TRACKERS  Power trackers convert the solar array voltage to the system voltage. Power tracker role  In this step the power tracker in the car receive the energy from the solar array, and change the energy that it receive to energy that the car can be use.
  • 14. BATTERIES  The batteries store energy from the power tracker and makes them available for the motor's use. Use of battery  After the power tracker convert the energy to the energy that is usable for the car, it send to the battery then the battery store the energy.  This energy is send to the motor and controller to make the car run.
  • 15. MOTOR & CONTROLLER  The motor controller adjusts the amount of energy that flows to the motor to correspond to the throttle.  The motor uses that energy to drive the wheels
  • 16. HOW SOLAR-POWER CAR RUNS  When the energy is send from the battery to the motor, the motor adjust the amount of energy that flows to the throttle. The motors use the energy that receive to run the wheel.  This is the process how solar car runs
  • 18. CONCEPT  A wind-powered car converts wind power into electric energy, thereby helping the car to move forward  there’s an intake valve seated on the roof to a mass all the wind needed to power the car.  An alternator connects to the intake valve which converts the kinetic energy to electrical energy.  This electrical energy is connected to a DC battery pack which is the source of power to a controller.  This controller converts the DC voltage to AC three phase voltage with the help of power diodes
  • 19. WORKING PRINCIPLE  When the car runs to get the most out of the smallest surface we have to use a turbine with a large contact surface. Such turbine will have only one active side.
  • 20. it would be better to bend the airstream onto the active area like this: This ornament increases the efficiency of the wind turbine.
