investor industrialist and philanthropist.
He is one of the most successful investors
in the world. Often called the “Investment
Guru” and “Oracle of Omaha”.
He is consistently ranked among the
world's wealthiest people and currently he
is the second richest person in the world
with $58.5 billion.

having pledged to give away 99 percent of
his
fortune
to
philanthropic
causes,
primarily via the Gates Foundation

5. CHILDHOOD: Even as a child, Buffett
displayed an interest in making and
saving money. He went door to door
selling chewing gum, Coca-Cola, or
weekly magazines. For a while, he
worked in his grandfather's grocery

1970 – Present at Berkshire Hathaway Inc, Omaha as
its Chairman, CEO.
Other notable career success include helping rescue
Salomon Brothers from corporate raiders (1987)
and taking charge of the New York City house
(1992) in the wake of an insider trading scandal.

11. Billionaire
Buffett became a billionaire on paper
when Berkshire Hathaway began selling
class A shares on May 29, 1990, when the
market closed at $7,175 a share. In 1998,
he acquired General Re(Gen Re), (in a rare
move, for stock). In 2002, Buffett became
involved with Maurice R. Greenberg at AIG,
with General Re providing reinsurance.

Buffett filed his first income tax return, deducting his
bicycle as a work expense for $35.
1945: (15 years old)
In his senior year of high school, Buffett and a
friend spent $25 to purchase a used pinball

In 1949, he was initiated into Alpha Sigma Phi
