Notas do Editor

  1. This is my second year at McCullough. I moved here from Louisiana, where I was an elementary librarian for 16 years. I taught junior high before I became a librarian. I am married, and I have 3 grown kids and 5 grandsons! I love being a librarian, I love kids, and I love reading, so I think I have the most perfect job in the world!
  2. The library staff is here to help you with a smile!
  3. If a Tuesday or a Thursday falls before a holiday, I will not be staying until 5:00. If I am absent on a Tuesday or Thursday, the library will be closed. I will try to make an announcement when I am out on a Tuesday or a Thursday.
  4. The downstairs library is closed at certain time, and Mrs. Christian will put a sign on the door. You may enter the library through the upstairs doors and use the upstairs library.
  5. Consists of 30 computers. These are the computers used for morning and advisory computer use.
  6. Teachers and the PTA use this room. PAWS, an after school tutoring program will be held in this room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00.
  7. Two coin copy machines, one upstairs and one downstairs. Follow the copyright law that is posted above the machines.
  8. There are gate at the upstairs and downstairs entrances to the library. Gates are very expensive and very sensitive. Do not ever touch the gates. You must enter and exit the gates single file. 23. We serve 2000 students in our library and computer labs. We want you to use the library, but we must caution you to use your time wisely. You have heard the rules, and they are not difficult to keep. We expect you to behave like nice, respectful, and educated people. We will always treat you with respect, and we expect you to show the library and the library staff the same respect. The rules in the library and labs cover behavior, computer responsibility, and cleaning up your area. We will be keeping a record of students we have to speak to. Three strikes, and you will not be able to use the library or lab services. When your class comes to the library, you will sit a a table and do book work. You will not be allowed in the library on a pass, or during free time. Severe consequences include detention and referrals. I have not had to do any of these things yet, and I do not expect to have to this year.
