Look at the pictures for clues to help figure out the word.

5. Get Your Lips Ready
Get your lips ready! – Make the beginning sound of the word.

6. Stretch the Word
“S-t-r-e-t-c-h” it out – stretch out the sounds in the word slowly, and blend them together

7. Chunk the Word
Look for smaller chunks you know inside the word (-ing, -and, -old, etc.)

8. Skip the Word
Skip it! Skip it! – Skip the word, read to the end of the
sentence, “hop back” and read it over.
