1. Sacramento Public Library System 1857 Sacramento has historically supported its public libraries - Stanford, Crocker, Hopkins and Huntington formed the Sacramento Library Association 1914 Carnegie Grant of $100,000 enabled the city to build what is now the Central Library
The Pocket Library has become the center for recreation and learning in the community. The library adjoins the 6.6 acre Sojourner Park Truth Park and serves as the joint use library with the Sacramento City Unified School District’s School of Engineering and Sciences – a 7th through 12th grade magnet school.
