Any person living in the United Arab Emirates or any of the gulf countries for that matter, would be familiar with the name P Mohamed Ali. Indeed a symbol of hard work, determination and commitment to millions of people around the world.
3. Any migrant working in the gulf region would be
well aware of the kind of hard life that people in
the gulf would have to face and the difficulty in
earning a name for themselves in the midst of all
the unfamiliar surroundings and prejudices.

5. Being a non-resident Indian, having migrated to the
Sultanate of Oman over two decades ago in the year
1972, P Mohamed Ali managed to find a small job in
the Sultanate of Oman. He belonged to a small village
in the city of Thrissur in the state of Kerala in India. He
was brought up in a middle class environment and he
was even quite content financially, with the
government job he managed to bag when he was in
India.

largest private sector employer in the country
of Oman, which is a matter of great pride to the
fellow countrymen of Ali.
•P Mohamed Ali is even ranked as the twelfth
richest Indian in the Middle – Eastern region.

9. •In spite of his richness, P Mohamed Ali has not
forgotten his commitment towards the society
and the goal with which he started his journey.
•He has provided employment to a number of
people both in India and the Middle East,
including Omani nationals. He also set up the
Indian School at Al Ghubra in Oman, which is
counted as one of the best schools in the
Sultanate of Oman providing quality education
to the people.
