  6. A logo is the first impression the customer sees, so it has a short time to make a meaningful impact. The balance, the actual elements, the typography, the colour palette all take an important role in the finished design. WhiteSpace Design Marketing & Photography have undertaken successful logo projects for a diverse range of clients, from a premium island resort | spa to a international trucking transport group, electrician companies to building firms, financial planners to asset management.
  7. Hand drawn elements add an element of uniqueness to a brand, whether it is an environmental company, a florist, or a new beauty salon. The client can be sure that their logo is like no other, and has been designed to capture the essence of their business.
  8. Once a logo has been developed, the associative language and supporting elements must be shaped to create a distinctive style. This style, or graphic language, then becomes synonymous with the business. The colour palette, the page layout, the flow of all elements, the supporting typography, all adds to the recognition of the brand. Maybe there is a subtle pattern throughout. Maybe the imagery is tinted with the logo colours ever so slightly. All these treatments add to the consumers engagement and understanding of the business’ promise to market.   9. Sometimes the brand is not what it is all about. It’s there, but other elements take precedence so they can catch the consumers’ attention, and sell product. Advertising. This client required the bike and it’s passengers to be in various scenes, so after the shoot, we were able to put them on the beach, in a park, wherever the client wanted. It’s called photo-retouching, or photoshopping, and without bragging, we are masters.
  10. Web presence is vital in todays cluttered marketplace. Having a website now is not enough, it has to fully reflect your brand, and engage your customer in a very short time. Then you need to keep them there, so that they order your flowers, buy a personalised album, subscribe to your blog. The need of the customer should be addressed in every element of every page, so that firstly, they commit to your product, and then trust your brand as an identity of integrity.
  11. Copywriting is a knack. Headlines in particular. It’s all about the consumer and the experience they have while interacting with your business. For the opening night of Stradbroke Island Beach Resort, we created a series of coasters. The look of course was the new branding, but the functionality addressed years of tradition, the old Straddie Pub. We created pick up lines based on the beautiful features of the island, with space to take someone’s number. They were a huge success.
  12. Photography is an essential part of any campaign. For the launch of a premium japanese restaurant’s new wine cellar, we captured the contrast of textures and colours, with simplicity and elegance.
  13. Corporate Head shots are an important part of presenting your business. We are able to come to your premises for a shoot, or if you are looking for a more polished look, come along to our studio.
  14. Press advertisting is not only vital in many businesses, it can be a minefield of unknowns. We have been booking and placing media advertising for many years, and know what to look out for. In general, simplicity is key to press advertising. A luscious image, a great headline, a strong call to action, and heavily branded. That is good press.
  15. Recently we undertook a branding campaign for a stunning eco friendly indoor fire product. As well as creating the branding and associative language, we directed the photoshoot, retouched as necessary, and created the press ad and brochure. Being consistent with strong colours and images was key for this successful campaign.
  16. The Enhance Group is a national market research and lobbying firm, with a large number of blue chip companies and state and federal level government bodies as clients. They approached WhiteSpace Design Marketing & Photography asking for a tweak to their current logo.
  17. This was their existing logo. We made a number of suggestions. Firstly, if they insisted on retaining the brand in some format, let’s simplify. So we did that. But because the brand was dated, not relevant for a more modern market, and expensive to produce in terms of colour, we recommended that a new brand be developed. Retain the core idea, which is that to enhance is to make greater. Simplify and modernise the colours so that they can be easily reproduced across all mediums. Create a hero brand under which the other divisions can sit. Simplify. Make it easy. Make it strong. Make it work.
  18. And this is what we came up with. Eyecatching. Simple. Easy to apply. Timeless. Better.
  19. Our second case study is completely different. Our client is an interior designer / inspirer / author / creative all rolled into one. Our brief was to create a simple identity and colour palette that reflects her signature style, and that can be adapted easily to any application.
  20. This is the result. An eye catching brand and palette, simply and consistently presented across all items. We digitised the floral pattern created by the client and incorporated that element as an integral representation of her product and philosophy.
  21. The colour and elements flow onto all items, like this postcard, stickers and ribbon design.
  22. As a core element for her business, the website has been designed to act as an efficient data base source, with a vibrant blog regularly updated by the client.
