Niu Valley Community Assoc. is presenting current plans for a new playground in Niu Valley, the only neighborhood on Oahu without a playground. After a four year process of obtaining support and funding from the city, state representatives, and an HMSA grant, the playground will have four parts - an activity area for 5-12 year olds, a play area for 2-5 year olds, activity stations for older children, and a central seating area. The playground aims to provide innovative and safe play options that serve the local schools and community.
