1. What is the “Union”:
 The union is a social space for all students to meet, hang out and
have fun.
 Union staff support and provide space for student clubs and
societies.
 Offers and organises a wide range of social activities on a regular
basis.
 Works in partnership with the students
 Offers opportunities for volunteering
and wider engagement.

Student Representatives
 Are elected in class by fellow students.
 Listen to the views of class members.
 Represent the views of the class at Student Representative Council
and Course Committee meetings.
 Given training.
 5 Student Conveners are elected each year (April Elections)
they are part –time employees and work in partnership with the
Student Union and College.
 Great opportunities!
