2. THE BLIND FLY
When our grandparents and parents in Italy were
teenagers they weren’t used to having all the things
and technological devices we have today;
They generally played their simple games in the
open air. Their favorites were:
- playing the Indians, building bows and arrows;
- table tennis;
- the blind fly;
- hide and seek;
- ball games.
During the winter season they preferred
board games that could be played in the
warmth of their houses, like
- Shangai;
- domino;
- cards.
On the contrary, when we were but children, we
already started dreaming about those electronic
devices that still enchant us for hours even today.
3. For our generation, these objects have taken the place of
our parents’ and grandparents’ hide and seek, shangai, table
tennis…
Playing all together made them feel more united, meeting in
the open air also meant to breathe pure clean air…
Nowadays we spend all our time locked up in our homes…
