God’s promise concerning the world we live in... Good news or bad news Genesis 8:21-22 21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
What does God have to say? Good news or bad news Psalm 146:3-5 3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. 5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
So what should we do? Good news or bad news Psalm 118:8-9 8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. 9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
What is God’s view of man’s government? Good news or bad news ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
How can we be sure? Good news or bad news ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
The end to the world’s problems Good news or bad news God’s whole purpose with this world revealed...
The stone cut out without hands... Good news or bad news The end of this world revealed in Daniel 2:44-45
Daniel 2:44-45 Good news or bad news 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. 45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
