Felix Gonzalez-Torres was a visual artist known for his conceptual works that explored themes of relationships, loss, and political issues. Some of his most famous works included "Untitled" (Portrait of Ross in L.A.) which presented a pile of candies wrapped in different colored cellophane that viewers were invited to take, with the pile diminishing over time to represent the loss of his partner to AIDS.
