  1. Don't spill all the beans.... There is no need to reveal EVERYTHING in your email subject line. It’s important to build some suspense, curiosity and intrigue...
  2. “An effective subject line is approximately six to eight words, or around 45 to 50 characters,” says Matthew Johnson, EDM specialist at Vision 6. “The reason is that when a recipient actually views the email, most will do so in their preview pane and that’s limited to about six to eight words. You’ve only got that much space to attract the reader’s attention and entice the open.”
