parents who were both severely injured in a semi accident
in Alabama on 9/24.

LADIES EVENING BIBLE STUDY
A verse by verse study of the Book of James is being held the 1st & 3rd Thursdays
of the month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the church. If you missed the first class, that’s
ok - join us for the next session on Thursday, October 17! Get deep into the Word
and get to know other church women more personally! Study questions can be
picked up at the Women’s Ministry Counter. No childcare is provided. Questions,

B.R.I.D.G.E.
Join the ladies for an evening out starting with supper at Beechwood Inn at 5:30 p.m.
on Friday, October 18. Then we’ll be returning to the church for simple games and
snacks. It’s a great way to meet other church women! Sign up at the Women’s

ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Monday, October 14 @ 7:00 p.m.
Our joyful duty calls and it’s important for all members to be at our Annual
Meeting next Monday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m. at the church. There will be
reports from all our ministries and our proposed budget will be introduced
along with our proposed new board members. You can pick up an Annual
Ministry Report today in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to attend the
meeting to learn what’s happening in our church, but only members can vote,
and members, we need you in order to have a quorum! Please mark this on
your calendar now and make every effort to be in attendance. If for some
reason, you will not able to attend, please obtain an absentee ballot from
any of the deacons (John Preikszas, Doug Poynter, Jim DeFrell, Barry Dekker
or A.J. VanKampen) or from Judy Timmer.

GANG TRAINING Are you interested in learning about gang culture, reasons why youth join
gangs and how we can best reach out to youth who are affiliated with gangs? Barnabas
Ministries is hosting a training session with speaker Detective Drew Torres of the Holland
Police Department at Community Reformed Church in Zeeland on Thursday, October 17, from

AT AVALANCHE BAY WATER PARK!
We’ll be teaming up with all West Michigan Grace
Churches for fun at the water park, bowling, powerful
worship with the GBC Praise Team and a challenging
message from Andrew Clark of GBF. The cost is $65 which

There will be an informational meeting after church TODAY! It is
important that all parents attend to find out the plans for the school year

PARKSIDE’S ADOPT A LAWN PROGRAM
Rather than Rake ‘N Run this year, we are asking families to sign up at the youth
counter to rake a lawn. (This is not a youth fundraiser.) Families in need can sign
up to have their lawn raked and a couple families per yard are needed to do that.

unable to maintain their lawn and
really needs some help with raking,

We will not being doing “Rake ‘N
Run” this year as a youth project;
however, we will be asking church
families to “adopt a lawn” for
someone in need.
Parkside’s 5th Annual Holiday Arts
& Crafts Fair will be held on Saturday,
November 23, from 9:00-3:00 at the
church! If you would be willing to help,
please contact Judy Timmer or
Jane Tiffany. The Parkside Youth will
be helping but we could use adults willing
to help with the luncheon, the bake sale,
advertising, decorations, setup, cleanup, and helping the
vendors carry in and take out their items. This is a big event
with 65 vendors of hand-crafted items and about 1500 people
attending last year.

It’s nearly finished! After months of construction, our new Christian
Education and Youth Ministry wing is a reality. To God be the glory
for the thing He has done! We want to celebrate together for our
new facility with a special morning of prayer, praise and dedication
on October 20th. An adjusted schedule for the morning is planned:
