Missionaries of the Week:
♩ Clare & Nedra Hunt, Short-term Missionaries to the Netherlands
Hello Friends at Parkside:
Greetings from the beautiful country of the Netherlands. Our morning
walks along the canals have been a special treat!
1John 3:1 “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us
that we should become the children of God!” And that is what we are!
God is blessing us as we minister to the people in Gemeente de
Bijbel. They love the Grace message. They want to learn more of God’s
Word and how to present it to others.
Thank you for your help and prayers. God bless you!
Love, Clare and Nedra Hunt

PARKSIDE’S ADOPT A LAWN PROGRAM

HAPPY TOWN CHRISTIAN TRAVELERS Want to go to Shipshewana and Essenhaus this
Tuesday or on a day trip to Chicago shopping on 11/9? Pick up flyers with more information
at the Women’s Ministry Counter or talk to Gwen Lawton (298-8674.)

Rather than Rake „N Run this year, we are asking families to sign up at the
youth counter to rake a lawn. (This is not a youth fundraiser.) Families in
need can sign up to have their lawn raked and a couple families per yard are
needed to do that.

MENTORING CLASS Would you like to be trained in effective mentoring practices? A
Mentor Training Seminar led by Beautiful Womanhood founder, author and national speaker,
Sandy Ralya, will be held at Grace Bible College on Saturday, November 2 from 9:00 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $75 which includes lunch. RSVP by tomorrow by calling Joyce at
616-261-8573. There is a flyer on the Women’s Ministry Counter.

ADULT CHOIR PRACTICE RESUMES
If you are part of, or would like to become
part of, our Adult Choir, please plan to attend
our first practice this Wednesday, October 30,
at 7:30 p.m. Since we will be singing again
this Christmas, we want to start practicing
the songs. Questions, see Chad Lippincott.

Effective this Tuesday, the Parkside Runners/Walkers
will be moving to downtown Holland (due to running
out of daylight hours!) They will meet in front of the
Knickerbocker Theater on 8th Street at 6:00 p.m. every
Tuesday then run downtown. When the snow comes,
they will run the snow-melt system on 8th Street and
enjoy some warm at JP’s coffee after the run/walk.
Come on out and keep your running going all winter! Dress
appropriately for the weather conditions. You can contact
Tony Van Houten at 616-218-0205 if you have any questions.

NEW: Mixed Adults: The Gospel of John Ch.9 - 21
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.” John 1:1
“These things are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the
Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in His name.” John 20:31
So begins and ends the Gospel of John, which emphasis on the glorious theme
Jesus Christ is God! This interactive class will continue the Bible exposition of
the Gospel of John that began last year and will include class discussions led by
various Parkside teachers as we seek to grow in our faith and the knowledge of
our Lord Jesus Christ, revealed in Scripture so that we may have life in His name.

NEW: Men’s Class: “The Man In The Mirror”
Solving the 24 Problems Men Face
Do you know anyone who has ever won the rat race? Probably not! And yet,
everywhere you go, you see men who are tired -- worn out from trying to win
this race that nobody wins. Is there hope? According to author Patrick Morley,
yes...absolutely! The Man In The Mirror shows how to live successfully with the
man in your mirror. This video teaching series and discussion time is designed
for you, the man grappling with the pressures and stressors of everyday life.

Continued: Women’s Class -- Gideon
Due to the Harvest of Generosity
event on October 30, there will
be no Pioneer Clubs this
Wednesday. Plan to bring the
kids to the outreach event instead!

Questions...talk to Judy Timmer or Jane Tiffany.

“ADOPT A LAWN PROGRAM”
If you or someone you know is unable to
maintain their lawn and really needs some
help with raking, sign them up at the Youth
Counter. We are not doing “Rake ‘N Run”
this year as a youth project; however, we
are asking church families to “adopt a lawn”
for someone in need.

Brownies, Cupcakes
Fudge or other Holiday Candy
Items specifically for children & diabetics
