Get Rich Fast
How Long Would You Be Willing To Work To Get Rich Fast?
People flock to the internet on a daily, even hourly, basis looking for
any possible way to get rich fast.
This led me to ask the question……….What is “fast”? Well, what’s
fast to you may be slow to me…..and vice versa. And, honestly, the
only thing that I really know to compare it to is the traditional
school/work model.
So, let’s go with that.
The traditional model
After you’ve received your bachelor’s degree comes the decision to
go ahead and get into the work force or continue with your schooling
to get your master’s degree. For the sake of this article, we’re going to go with getting a master’s
degree.
According to eHow,
The average cost of a bachelor’s degree is $25,143 per year at a private college and
$6,585 at a public college or university, according to the 2008-09 reports released by
the College Board. About 56 percent of students pay less than $9,000 in tuition and
fees per year, the board found, while only 9 percent pay more than $33,000. These
averages do not include room and board.
And, according to College Surfing,
The average debt of a master’s degree student upon graduation can range anywhere
from $30,000-120,000, according to FinAid.org.
So, if you take the average of the two together, you get about 6 years of eduction at
approximately $138,000. Once you have your degrees in hand, now comes the task of finding the
best paying job that you can.
The average salary of a master’s degree prepared individual varies anywhere from $20,000 to
$150,000 per year, depending on your field. We’ll go middle of the road and take the average and
say you’re now earning $85,000 per year.
Now, I ask you………is 6 years and $85,000 per year what you would label as a “get rich fast”
2. path?
There’s got to be another way
For me, the answer to the above question is a
resounding…..”No!”
Don’t get me wrong…….I do believe that
education is incredibly important. But,
education comes from a variety of places.
I have a business partner that began his
journey into making money online about 3
years ago. Although he’s had his challenges
along the way, he recently made over $10,000
in a month, and that number is steadily going
up.
He has friends that he grew up with that told him they would not want to go through what he’s
been through to be where he is now………….WHAT?
Their alternative is to continue in their jobs earning $10-$12 per hour for the next 30+ years and
hopefully be able to retire.
That just does not make sense to me!
So, if it means working hard for 6 months, 1 year, or 3 years to get rich fast……….is it worth it to
you? Would that be fast for you?
Only You can decide.
