Latino Fashion Week, the only week-long event in the United States completely dedicated to Latino fashion, is proud to announce its first ever Teen Day, an event dedicated to Chicago-area youth.

FOURTH ANNUAL LATINO FASHION WEEK TO HOST STAR-STUDDED
FASHION SHOW & SELF-ESTEEM WORKSHOP DEDICATED TO TEENS
CHICAGO, IL --OCTOBER 29, 2010—Latino Fashion Week, the only week-long event in the United States
completely dedicated to Latino fashion, is proud to announce its first ever Teen Day, an event dedicated to
Chicago-area youth. Teen Day will be taking place on this year’s Veteran’s Day, Thursday, November 11th
, making
it easy for all local students to attend.
The star-studded event will be held at Ford City Mall and will feature celebrity performances and appearances, as
well as a workshop dedicated to inspire Chicagoland youth. The program begins at 3:00 p.m. when AWSUM
(Amazing – Wonderful – Super – Unique – Me) will hold a teen fashion and self-esteem workshop, followed by the
runway show at 4:30 p.m. featuring Chicago’s Jaslene Gonzalez, winner of America’s Next Top Model, Season 8,
and Cesar Corales, star of Billy Elliot the Musical. There will also be a special performance by two-time Grammy
Award winning singer, actor and songwriter, Colby O’Donis.

Executive Producer, Arabel Alva Rosales, J.D. “It is really important to us that our youth knows we support their
ideas and their involvement in this production. They are our future and we want to fuel their confidence and
interests as such.”

Latino Fashion Week is dedicated to highlighting the impact Latinos have made on the fashion industry and the
contributions that will certainly be made for years to come. Local and international Latino designers will be
showcasing their creations during the eight-day celebration.
Scheduled events include fashion shows by some of the industry’s rising and established designers on a local,
national and international level. In addition to glamorous fashion shows, events include a student competition, a
documentary on the infamous Celia Cruz, two days of fun-filled shopping, a Fashion Gala and a star studded day
dedicated to teens and motivational speakers.
