3. Chocolate, clay and sugar: A celebration of one hundred years of
freedom dancers tour.
The Dominican Republic is the number one exporter of organic cocoa in
the world. Cocoa, an indigenous product of the Americas, has been since
the beginning of the European settlement of the island a commodity in
the economy of this first country of the new world
Our tour will take us to the old sugar plains of north Santo Domingo;
once part of the biggest plantation of the Caribbean, now a free spirited
and cultural haven where a cluster of independent local farmers.
You will appreciate all stages of cocoa growing according to the highest
standards of Fair Trade and Organic Certification.
The trip will continue at the Guillen brothers farm/atelier where a group
of chocolatiers will roast, hand grind cocoa and make chocolate for your
enjoyment along with casaba and homemade cornbread.
A tour of the clay curing tubs, potter’s wheel shop and glowing kilns will
enchant you as you see red colored earth turn into gods and history of
an indigenous past.

4. The coffee trail, a mountain coffee plantation tour
The island of Hispaniola is a mountainous island where the higher
summit reaches 3,098 meters. The Cordillera Central with its misty
clouds, green forests and the highest peaks in the Caribbean it’s also
where the highest quality Dominican coffee is grown. For more than 265
years coffee has been an integral part of the Dominican culture. The
island latitude and its mountains altitude produce some of the world best
specialty coffees.
Our tour will take us to the southern slopes of the Cordillera Central,
there we will visit a coffee plantation run by a cluster of independent local
farmers. Some the best quality beans are grown here, on terraced
mountain slopes. It is from these beans that one of the best Dominican
Specialty Coffees is produced.
. You will see and taste all different types of coffee, from espresso to
light roast and will instruct you on how to recognize the different types of
coffee by cupping (tasting for quality).

5. Tequia Experiences: Dinner & Show (Cruises)
Santo Domingo like many other Caribbean capitals, with its warm
nights and lively spirit, is teeming with passion and art. Its
nightclubs and performance centers offer an eclectic selection of
entertainment and cultural options to the sophisticated traveler.
Our night tour will take you, on a sightseeing ride of the Colonial
City.
Casa de Teatro also known as “La Casa” is considered the best
place in the country to get acquaintance with the local art scene

6. Santiago Art and Folklore tour
The Santiago the second largest city of the Dominican Republic. Is located at
in the heart of the island. Also known as Santiago de los 30 Caballeros, it is
a cultural and artistic hub where folklore meets modern art.
Our trip begins with a visit to the impressive Monument to the Restoration of
the Republic. It is a landmark from where both the old and new cities can be
admired.
A short ride through the old city will bring us to the center square where we
will enjoy a guided tour of the Santiago Cultural Center gallery. At the
Cultural Center, a local artists show could be admired, followed by a
delightful performance of one of the country’s best and oldest traditional
dance schools and its musical band.

7. Santo Domingo tour
Santo Domingo the capital city of the second largest country in the
Caribbean, is a vibrant city, with bustling streets lined with an eclectic mix
of architecture. Its new towers, its neo-classical public buildings, the art
deco-style houses and the colonial-style palaces all mix together in a
pastel palette which gives this capital its unique personality.
Our ride will begin with a visit to the Palacio Nacional,
As we drive through Gazcue and its art deco houses, our guide will
narrate the recent history of this ever-growing city.
A visit to the museum Bellapart will delight us with its precious collection
of Dominican contemporary and classical art.

8. Chateau de la Fuente; birthplace of a dream
Time, water and the sun have forged a valley where the soil conditions
make possible the perfect combination to produce one of the best cigars
in the planet. It is in this valley, with its afternoon rain mists, perfect
sunrays and the perseverance of a family, where a dream was born:

Our trip will take us to the Fuente family’s jewel plantation where their
masterpieces begin their journey from seed to perfection. We will

14. Boyá: adventure and historic legend.
This is a historic trip full of music, adventure and the soul of the real
Dominican People. With beautiful views this enclave acts as a monument
to the first fight for freedom from slavery between an indigenous race and
the Europeans in the new world, as well as the last establishment of the
same people as free citizens of the colony.
Our trip will begin with a visit to the church of Santa Maria de Boyá,
historic monument built in the16th century. There, in front of the baroque
altar the town’s choir will welcome us to pay homage to the mortal rests
of the last indigenous people of this island, the Tainos. The excursion will
continue to the old ceremonial plaza, now the central square of the town
where four local musical groups will perform throughout the plaza. You
can walk freely all through the park and visit the women’s open-air
market where local crafts and sweets could be bought. The tour will
continue with an optional ride in “Moto Concho” (local transport) to the
“Salto de Socoa”. There we can appreciate the beauty of the tropics with
this majestic waterfall and enjoy a short swim.
Back at the town the trip will continue with an optional twenty minutes
horseback ride though the countryside. Lunch will be served at the house
s around the main square, putting each visitor in close contact with the
livelihood of the families of this town. This tour full of history and
legends, music and adventure, human and tropical nature encounters is

15. Cascading Salto Alto:
Our tour will begin with a sampling of local cornbread and natural
fruit juices. After a brief instruction we will get on horseback and
start our ride trough the beautiful Comatillo countryside.
An impressive cascade of blue and clear waters will be the setting
for our adrenaline full adventure, recommended for those who
want to live life to the fullest. Our guides and instructors will give us
all the directives to assure us an unforgettable and safe
experience while we prepare to go down rappelling “Salto Alto”.
Cascading twenty-five meters between two impressive white water
bands will make this a unique experience for everyone. Our
instructors will guide us from the top of the waterfall to an
effervescent blue water pool making this experience an everlasting
memory. After all this excitement we will return on horseback and
our excursion will continue with a Dominican style lunch
accompanied by local musicians.

16. Kayaks over the Comate:
Our tour will begin at Comatillo, where a sampling of energy full
local snacks and natural fruits juices will awaits us. Soon after an
instruction briefing we will embark in a trip full of adrenaline on one
of the most beautiful rivers of the country, the Comate. This river,
forgotten by civilization, calm at times, full of rhythms most of the
times, combines itself with the landscape to give us an
unforgettable experience. Accompanied by our guides and
instructors we will enjoy two kilometers of river way on kayaks.
Tame waters mixed with exciting stretches of faster currents
accompanied by exciting falls will make of this a memorable
adventure. Our water trip will end with a free fall over a fantastic
waterfall. The tour will end with live music and a typical local lunch

17. Saltos De La Sabana Water Park
Our tour will take us to the Edge of one of the island of
Hispaniola’s most exuberant national park, los Haitises. Saltos De
La Sabana is a natural water park combining nature with exciting
adventures. Three mounting bike trails, seven water falls, two
hiking trails and a horseback riding route intertwine with a forest of
bromeliads, palm trees and tropical forest to give you an
spectacular experience.
You will be welcome with a light snack and coconut and fruit juices.
This excursion will offer mounting biking along side rivers and
waterfalls in three different levels, the green trail for the younger
and less experience, the yellow for the adventurer and those with
some experience and the red for the experienced and those who
want an adrenaline rush. Combining the three is recommended for
those who want to live life to the fullest.
If your choice is for a calmer pace but equally memorable
experience you could choose between horseback riding or hiking
the waterfalls trails. After your ride or hike our trip will continue with
a tubing experience in the river Sabana.

18. Terraqua Treasure Hunt.
Our excursion will take us to a fish farm where the games will take
place. Our group will be divided by last names into two teams and
after a light snack and natural fruit juices.
An instructive brief will follow and each team member will receive
all the materials necessary for the games to start. Our tour will
consist of a series of obstacles that will need to be conquered by
each team in order to pass to the next stage of the game. Points
will be given to each as they concluded each level. Every step of
the contest will engage different, exciting, challenging and fun
tasks involving bate gathering and fishing, treasure hunts, water
sports and mud baths. The wining team will be awarded
promotional materials (t-shirts, hats and a small trophy to each
member) as a memorabilia to their effort.
Our trip will conclude with freshwater fish, shrimp and a Dominican
style buffet accompanied by deserts.
