2. “In the long run, we shape our lives, and we
shape ourselves. The process never ends until
we die. And the choices we make are
ultimately our own responsibility.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
“The willingness to accept responsibility for
one's own life is the source from which self-
respect springs.” - Joan Didion
3. What is self-responsibility?
The acknowledgment that you, through
your thinking, feeling and
behaving, are in control of how you
experience life, work family etc. For many
people, becoming truly responsible
requires changing core beliefs.
5. Being responsible is one of the prime requisites for
any person who wants to survive independently in
this world. As a child grows, he/she learns to
become more responsible for the things around
him/her.
However, the sense of responsibility comes at
different times for different people. Some mature
early and shoulder responsibilities at a very young
age; while others do not realize it till the time they
are forced into such a situation
6. It's First And Foremost Doing Right By
Yourself
• We all have an inner voice that
whispers the right way
• No matter how off course you are,
it's always the right time to get
back on your path. This can mean
making massive changes. But it's
always worth it
• When you realize that your experience is within
your control, You start making decisions rather
than blaming others, you find yourself solving
problems rather than disengaging and merely
coping
7. Bringing It Home
• We have a responsibility to
– The company
– Clients
– Team Members

What’s my present situation?
How would I like my situation to be?
Do I have a choice here?
What are my possible choices?
What’s the likely outcome of
each possible choice?
Which choice(s) will I commit to?
