SAP’s HopenhagenCommitment As a global business leader committed to a enabling a sustainable future for the world, SAP supports Hopenhagen’s efforts to drive action on climate change Motivating Citizens: Hopenhagen is a global movement that encourages citizens to actively participate in the climate change dialogue and make their voices heard to world leaders and COP 15 conference delegates. People around the world are urged to sign the UN’s “Climate Change” petition at Hopenhagen.org, which calls for a climate treaty that is “ambitious, fair and effective in reducing emissions.” Call to Action: As individuals we have the power to chose the type of world we want to live in. Governments and corporations cannot act alone. By becoming a citizen of Hopenhagen and signing the petition, people of the world are calling upon leaders at COP 15 to address the climate crisis that is facing us all today. Engaging Business: Companies must take an active role in addressing climate change by collaborating on a solution to the problem and developing conditions that support innovation in order to create global prosperity. COP15 is a singular moment of opportunity, where bold action will lead to a better future for all. SAP’s Impact: Given that our 89,000 customers emit 1 / 6th of man-made global emissions, SAP has a unique opportunity to impact climate change worldwide and significantly accelerate the path of world economies toward sustainability.
