Do fruits and vegetables store water?
Materials Scale Fruits Veggies Sponge Trays Small knife Lots of air!
Steps of Investigation First we gathered the fruits and vegetables Second we got the trays and paper plates Third we started cutting the fruits and vegetables Fourth we weighed the fruits and vegetables Finally,  we put them on the trays and traced them
Results And Conclusions After we waited for two days, we weighed them and recorded the new weight. We found that fruits and vegetables store lots of water! If they loose their water, they shrivel up and loose weight.
Results And Conclusions (cont) We weighed our food in ounces.
Results And Conclusions (cont) The  graph on the other page, explained that fruits and vegetables store lots of water. After two days they dried up, and lost weight. Now if we didn’t have water we will loose weight and die as well.
Results and conclusions (cont) The graph on the next page will explain that fruits and  vegetables have lots of water in them. For example, iceberg lettuce has 96% water in it,WOW!
Results and conclusions (cont) In our everyday life, we get a lot of water just from the fruits and veggies that we eat.
Related Topic- Water In Humans Water makes up about 60% of the body’s weight. For the body to function properly, we need to consume about two quarts of water (or liquid) per day. Water needs vary. It depends on the food a person eats, environmental temperature and humidity, a person’s activity level and other factors. Just think, 60% of our body's are water! That's over half!!
Related Topic- Water In Humans (cont) Dietary recommendations. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.

What We Learned About God! We learned that God put water In our plants and bodies so we can live and stay alive. We realize that when things don’t have water, they will die. Water is a very important thing to have In our lives!
