 • Notation Chords
Notation chords are the ones that appear in textual bars used for
chords timing. These usually look like the following:

     | [A] [B] [C] [D] |

OnSong detects that these chords are placed in notation and draws
them alongside the notation marks instead of placing them on top. You
can alter this behavior with this settings.

whitespace adjustment to use the older rendering technique.

Knowing the key of a song is important for the transposition engine
including in OnSong. Normally, a key would be declared using
metadata. In the even that a key is not declared, OnSong resorts to
determining the key. Originally, OnSong would detect the key using the
first chord of a song. This is not always accurate. You can choose other
methods such as the last chord, by counting the sharps and flats
contained in the song, or by metadata only.

This setting removes extraneous icons from the menubar if they are
not in use. Currently, this will remove the external video settings icon
when a cable is not attached or AirPlay is not enabled.

 • Auto Show/Hide Menu
This setting is used to automatically hide the menubar when not in use.
You can then tap the middle of the screen to show the menubar and to

 • Screen Orientation
The screen orientation setting is used when viewing chord charts on an
external monitor. The default setting is "Same" which keeps the screen
in the same orientation as the device. You can also set this to a specific
orientation. This is useful if you have a monitor on stage in the vertical
or portrait position and want to maintain that while being free to adjust
the orientation of the device. Same, 0º, 90º, 180º or 270º
