This document discusses a meeting between representatives of the SIP and XMPP protocols. The meeting was hosted by INRIA in Paris to discuss potential interoperability between the two protocols. SIP is commonly used for voice and video communications, while XMPP is used more for instant messaging. The goal of the meeting was to explore how the two protocols could work together to enable new unified communication applications and services.
