3. SFF OBJECTIVE
To provide MFIs with re-financing on a commercial and
sustainable basis
NEW Indicators:
•The SFF portfolio is extended from 9 MFIs in 2006 to 50 by
2011
• MFIs in at least 5 regions of Ghana, including one region in
the Guinea Savannah Belt.
•At least 2 of the new financial products are applied for by 2
MFIs
4. SFF OBJECTIVE
To provide MSME - FIs with re-financing on a
commercial and sustainable basis.
•SFF is registered as a Company limited by Guarantee
•SFF is generating sufficient income to cover its loan losses
and a significant part of its real overhead costs.
5. SFF has 3 Loan Products
Developmental Loan with Technical Assistance - GH¢100,000
Revolving Loan - GH¢300,000
Further Loan GH¢ 500,000

133 Rural Banks gives a high level of national coverage
70 – 80 ranked as satisfactory in terms of overall performance
Top 100 rural banks each have total assets of over GH¢3.2milloion with the top
20 having total assets of between GH¢42-18 million

Performance Indicators-2011
The total assets of the 134 Rural Banks was 1.5billion
Total Deposits of all Rural Banks GH ¢910million
Loans made by the rural bank sector were GH¢471million
Total Profit before tax was GH¢36millon
Rural banks are active in microfinance and to a limited extent
SME lending
