3. PREPARATION Prospective participants will receive a list of relevant study materials along with websites which are relevant to the content of the course. They will also receive worksheets which will help them prepare for the course. METHODOLOGY The methodology can be broken down in three main factors: 1.The use of the facilitator as instrument for enhancing awareness in participants. 2. The use of Gestalt Theory for teams and individuals and 3. The use of tools and exercises derived from the arts. Participants will be invited to try out potential solutions through creative experiments. Creative experimenting provides an opportunity to try on new ways of being in the world. By playing out possibilities for problem solving, we may begin to experience ourselves in new ways. The methodology of using the arts and Gestalt practice to enhance and develop creativity and awareness is very effective. Examples of arts-informed tools are the following: • Role plays • Theatrical games and exercises • Writing narratives, stories and poems • Constructing pieces of art in groups. Finally, it is imperative to stress that the collaborative efforts of each individual participant, the team and the facilitator can produce a fascinating process of discovery. FOLLOW UP The participants will be encouraged to form a network in order to continue exchange of ideas and support one another.
