Initiative: Capacity Building Component includes
the development of a training tool for urban
planners
• CCCI also includes a University partnership
component

• Reach common understanding on how better urban planning
can contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
• To agree on how best to equip urban planners to deal with
climate change.
• To reach a common understanding on how urban planning and
design schools can better address climate change as an
integral part of their curricula.

professional development: Concrete
recommendations on tools and partnerships
• University/tertiary education (planning and climate
change): Concrete recommendations on
partnership (e.g. syllabus development in selected

7. Logistics

• The meeting will be held at IHS (today and
tomorrow) and at the Atlanata Hotel on Saturday
• Boat trip tonight: we leave from here, the boat will
drop us close to the hotel. This is a combined
study visit (Climate Initiative Rotterdam) and
reception
• Payment for lunch:
• Euro 20 per person per day
