Aalborg Technical Gymnasium Higher Technical Exam (HTX):  -upper secondary level /6th form (16-19 years)  -students continue at university or other further education  -emphasis on technical and natural sciences -emphasis on problem based learning, learning from theory and practice, innovation, design, ICT and a social and environmental perspective

Study lines (2½ year) Introduction (½ year) Structure and subjects  Compulsary Upgrading depending on study line English  Math  Danish  Depending on study line and choice Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Communication /IT, Social science, Technology history Study area part 2 -Themes planned between subjects  Technical main –students projects Technology –student projects Study area part 1 -Themes in the areas of technology, social and natural sciences Design, innovation, programming, economy, german a.o.
A typical student -16-19 years -From non-academic background  -Has chosen this school by active choise -Has ambitions for his future -Likes the idea of combining theoretical and practical work -Has a job  -Likes pc-games, but doesn’t like to read books -Finds math and science hard, but likes school and feels he understands what’s going on. -Doesn’t always make homework or bring his books -Plans his time, but finds that he has problems with self discipline

Majors –Sankelmarksgade   Communication  and media Physics, math  and philosophy Clothing and design After ½ year of introduction, the students chooses a study line of 2½ year
