3. Conor Blakey (2008-2010)Destination: University of TeessideBA (hons) Media Studies “A Level Media – the best decision I’ve made during my education” “I’m confident that studying media was the best decision I’ve made in my education so far. Due to the industry standard equipment at QE, but mostly due to the brilliant teaching, my technical ability improved hugely.” “The second element was the theory side of Media Studies, and no word of a lie, I feel that this was taught to a standard as high, if not higher than the first year of my university course. The theories and theorists I’ve learnt thanks to Nicola and Al are 100% transferable, and have made my degree a walk in the park so far, I’m very grateful for the detail that they went into, and their knowledge of the subject is excellent.” “Overall I’d suggest this course highly, I feel it offers the perfect balance of production and theory, and could lead comfortably into a university course of either or both elements, I’m indebted to the department for life!”
4. Jess Elsworth(Current A2 Student)“I look forward to my MediaStudies lessons” “The course has allowed me to demonstrate my creative ability” “The course is academically challenging and has encouraged me to view society from a very different perspective” “Choosing to study Media is choosing to study life. The course provides you with life long skills that will undoubtedly help you in every walk of life. The skills will especially help me in my chosen degree - psychology with sports science at Northumbria University”
