2. I used many media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages by using a variety of different programmes and effects for each stage. In order to edit my music video to a high standard I used ‘Final Cut Express HD’. This was so I could add different cuts, camera angles and other editing techniques to my video in order for it to fit in with that particular genre which is urban. My video is built up of different layers on ‘Final Cut’ and in order to add different cuts I added a new layer so it could flow properly and efficiently. Also to make sure the track was in sync properly and my lip sync was in time with the track. Urban videos tend to feature faster cuts and flow at a faster pace.

3. In the research stage I used modern media technologies such as you tube in order to research other videos with a similar genre to mine. This was to give me an idea of the genre conventions of urban music videos and what to include in my video and the story behind it. In order to manage and keep all of my work up to date I put it all on a blog. By having a blog it is easier and more efficient for me to find my work instead of having to rummage through a bag or a folder to find loose pieces of paper. Also a blog manages to keep things in date order and makes it easier to embed videos from you tube and Prezi’s to show examples and proof of my research and planning stages. In order to complete my ancillary texts to a high standard I used Photoshop and many of its tools and editing techniques. I previously used Photoshop during the planning stages when completing my ‘Warhol-self’ and ‘Opie-self’, however previous to this I had never used Photoshop before.

4. I found it hard to use at first however after a while I got used to it and all of the different tools and effects. For my advertisement and digi-pak I screen grabbed some images of myself from my video and inserted them into Photoshop. The tools I tended to use the most on Photoshop were the shape tool and the lasso tool in order to cut my images out. I also used the smudge tool quite frequently to make sure the images I cut out looked neat and as realistic as possible. As I said earlier I tried to keep the font as close to the original ‘TinieTempah’ font as possible using the ‘Whiskey Town’ style from dafont.com. After completing this task I now feel more familiar and confident with the software's I have used which include 'Final Cut Express HD' and 'Photoshop Elements'.
