Describing the initial fieldwork experiences with the Gond community in Madhya Pradesh, this presentation lists some of the salient features of language and ritual that characterise this community. It also acknowledges the sources of information collected during the fieldwork visit conducted mid-2008 by Muthukumar and Aruvi towards setting up a Digital Community Archive at the location, describes software used to log in information and presents fieldwork methodology along with observations.
