What is the Upsidedown Startup view about? It is about perceiving the entrepreneurial process in a restructured way, where the process begins by combining existing networked resources as opposed to being discovered or searched for later in the process. Today, the process is traditionally seen this way: potential entrepreneurs have an innovative idea while recognizing an opportunity and start executing actions while searching for ways to locate and mobilize disconnected resources. Under the Upsidedown Startup conceptual framework, the initial idea immensely loses importance to the available and reachable resources that will bring much stronger execution capabilities to founders that become better positioned to develop innovative ideas in an endless quest to become entrepreneurs.

O Empreendedor: Fundamentos da Iniciativa Empresarial
8. Empreendedor é aquele que:
1) Desenvolve um novo produto
ou um novo tipo de produto;
2) Desenvolve uma nova forma de
produzir ou de vender um
produto;
3) Explora um novo mercado;
4) Identifica novos fornecedores
ou novas fontes de matéria
prima;
5) Reorganiza a forma de fazer
negócios em um setor.

“Uma inovação é a
implantação de um
novo produto,
processo, metodologia
mercadológica ou
organizacional em
práticas de negócios,
ambientes de trabalho
ou relações externas.”
10. Mas… se para ser emprendedor é
necessário que algo seja novo…
11. A característica mais fundamental é que seja novo
para alguém.
A segunda é que este ‘alguém’ seja ou se torne um
grupo relativamente amplo de pessoas.
O que significa ‘ser novo’?
12. O empreendedor está
limitado no tempo.
Porque o ‘novo’ só é
novo por algum
tempo.
O empreendedor só
pode ser considerado
como tal enquanto
esteja inovando.
Na sua opinião, qual é a
outra consequência de
que algo ‘seja novo’?
15. Empreendedor não é aquele que:
• Começa uma empresa.
• Herda ou dirige uma empresa.
• É criativo, jovem ou bonito.
• Tem grandes ideias.
• É rico ou milionário.
• Vende limonada.
• Sai nos jornais.

Notas do Editor
A dinâmica da relação “Ideia x Execução” (i.e. Área de Produto x Área Comercial) tem cada vez mais importância no processo empreendedor.
