While preparing I came across...Let us test our knowledge.Church vs. Assembly.Church: kyriakos. belonging to the Lordrelated to the Lord1Cr 11:20, of the Lord's Supper, or the Supper of the Lord (see FEAST); in Rev 1:10, of the Day of the Lord Ekklēsia1) an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting2) a company of Christian, or of those who, hoping for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, observe their own religious rites, hold their own religious meetings, and manage their own affairs, according to regulations prescribed for the body for order's sake3) those who anywhere, in a city, village, constitute such a company and are united into one body4) the whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth5) the assembly of faithful Christians already dead and received into heaven
“Peace on earth” was never said with such assurance and that, at the time of the birth of an infant child. No more conditions, no more risk of loss of peace – it was simply “Peace on earth” because Shiloh had come, for He is Peace Himself.Jn 19: 7: They decide Jesus has to die BUTJn 18: 31: They acknowledge they don’t have the “law” to put Him to death.Power of the Civil government had passed to the hands of Romans – sceptre had departed, because Shiloh had come. What the PLACE could not do, the PERSON did.
Two things happened on that dayFirst, Saints received the Holy Spirit, the body of the Saints became the temple of the Holy Spirit and,Second, Lord Jesus received a mystical body, the Church. Mystical because it is not seen; it is not a physical body. This body is made visible as we fellowship as a local Church.Atlantic Ocean: as viewed from England and from Canada. Each see Atlantic as it manifests itself locally.Q: How do we know that gathering is not about the gathering in heaven but locally? Mt 18:20 - Gathered together in His name (Picture of a local assembly)Babel is reversed. Paradise regained.., “It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord….” (Acts 15:25-29).
Pointing finger that hurts instead of the part of the body
