in some extraordinary outcomes.

• learn more about a new environment with many challenges
• discover more about themselves.
For those who bring an inspired and entrepreneurial outlook
to this experience, we can provide the tools for them to make
a difference in the future.
3. The Three Stages
For those involved in Inspire Journeys, we have a three-stage process.
Pre-visit orientation
In advance of the trip, we meet individually with potential participants to discuss what
their objectives might be and how we can best support their aims through the programme
and schedule. Each trip is shaped by participants’ objectives, including their personal
development aims.
For those committed to the trip, we hold a half-day orientation session with all the
leaders and participants. This takes the form of a focused seminar on Rwanda and
enables information to be shared and a degree of team-building to form.
Written information is also provided and participants will continue to have access to
Together Partnership contacts for any subsequent queries.
The visit
The visit usually lasts around seven days and travel, accommodation etc are arranged by the
Together Partnership. We aim to have around 8 - 10 participants and the trip is led by one of
the experienced Together Partnership team, working along with a Rwanda-based colleague.
Participants will be fully involved in helping to shape the details of the trip, which
is aimed to be a strongly personal experience as well as focusing on business and
development challenges.
Post-visit action
As with the pre-visit arrangements, we will host a post-visit session for all participants, at
which experiences can be shared and support for future action can be offered wherever
possible. It is a clear objective of these trips that follow-up and new initiatives are taken
forward – the 2009 trip transformed the views of the participants and they have already
begun to transform lives in Rwanda. The Together Partnership has a range of expertise and a
wide and supportive network, and will facilitate these initiatives in any appropriate way it can.
