The Community Archive provides an online tool to help community archives manage and share their collections. It grew out of the National Register of Archives and Manuscripts to offer a free system for cataloging, preserving, and making accessible the important historical records often held by local organizations on a voluntary basis. The tool allows both archives and researchers to build profiles, save searches, and share information to contribute to documenting New Zealand's history.
