2. What is Tumblr?
Tumblr is a micro blogging platform and social
networking website that lets you share anything.
Post text, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos,
from your browser, phone, desktop, and email.

3. History of Tumblr
• Tumblr was launched on April 27, 2007 by David
Karp. Within two weeks of its launch, the service had
gained 75,000 users.
• In year 2009, Apple Inc. App Store application was
created by Jeff Rock and Garrett Ross for I-phones
and tumblr also became available to BlackBerry
smart phones on April 17,2010.
• Tumblr was inaccessible for 47 hours on December Founder: David Karp
5,2010 due to maintenance errors, but on February
28,2012 Tumblr launched a re-design of its
dashboard icons.

4. What is a tumble blog?
• It is a variation of a blog that consists of short-form
and media posts that are frequently associated with
blogging.
• A tumble blog includes links, photos, quotes,
dialogues, and video.

5. Who uses Tumblr?
• Tumbler is used by various number of people
from politicians to school children.
• Mostly young adults from the age of 15 to 25
years old use tumblr.

6. Why do people use Tumblr?
• People have different needs of tumblr like advertising
and socializing.
• They use tumblr to share texts, photos, quotes, links,
music, and videos with everyone around the world.
• They use tumblr to share their ideas and thoughts,
and also to comment on people’s pictures.

7. How to sign up for an account
Step 1: go to the website www.tumblr.com
Step 2: enter your email address and a password.
Step 3: Pick a url that you want your tumblr to be, and then start
posting.
