CHALLENGING SOCIAL GROUPS
Our main character was Sally who was a very
dominant woman which instantly challenges the
typical woman role which is expected from
society. We did this to challenge the main
stereotype of woman and we aimed to make our
main character the strongest and smartest. We did
this and emphasized this in several ways. This is
what made our film similar to Salt.
CAMERA ANGLES
We used a close up on Sally to
emphasize how important she
is when she is speaking a
commanding and mind
twisting sentence. This again
challenges the social group of
women in the modern day. This
is because they are seen as
less superior to the sexist view
however we challenge that and
make the women more
superior.
MISE-EN-SCENE
Sally has been dressed up as the more
superior upper class women as she is
wearing a nice dress and heels with a big
furry coat. This portrays a strong
independent women which is precisely
what we wanted to do. This challenges the
stereotype of the Irish women as they can
be seen as heavy drinkers. We used this
and made our Irish character much
different
