 Cloud computing is distributed
technology offering and sharing
required software and hardware
through Internet.
 Cloud computing is a current and
next generation platform that allows
institutions, organizations and
universities with a dynamic resource,
through improving utilization.
 The main objective of this paper is to implementing
and analysis of cloud computing using Google
application, Google Drive (Keep everything. Share
anything).
 This can be introduced in the educational institution
to improve teaching / learning, accessing, sharing,
anywhere any time by transforming and storage of
data online.
 Students and teachers can share their work without
having to use paper.
 This application allows us paper less environment in
any organization / institutions.
Key Word: Information Technology (IT), Infrastructure,
educational institutes, Cloud computing, Google
Drive
 Cloud computing is a flexible delivery
model for ICT services that uses
powerful systems and networks with
high transfer rates.
 It leverages distributed software and
hardware resources and shared,
redundant, multi-tenant platforms
that deliver a high degree of
scalability
 Cloud Computing describes the shift from
conventional desktop based computing and
storage systems to services and data
accessed through the internet.
 The cloud is the network where applications,
data and services are essentially any service
that can be delivered and consumed over the
internet in real-time.
 Cloud computing is the entire frame work
that enables these services to exist and be
consumed.
 Google Drive

 OpenDrive
 Mega Cloud
 OwnCube
 4Sync
 Twindoc
 Amazon Cloud Drive
 FilesAnywhere
 Xcloud
 Bookmycloud
 Google drive keeps everything, share
anything, create & collaborate, on the web, in
your home, at the office and on the go. So
wherever you are, your stuff is just there.
Ready to go, ready to share.
 In Google drive we can create new
documents, spreadsheets and presentations
instantly.
 Work together at the sometime on the same
document and see changes as they appear.
Get started with 5 GB free
•PC and Mac
•Chrome OS
•iPhone and iPad
•Android devices
Things happen. Your
phone goes for a swim.
Your laptop takes an
infinite snooze.
No matter what
happens to your
devices, your files are
safely stored in Google
Drive.
Share files with exactly
who you want and edit
them together, from any
device.
Google Drive gives you
instant access to Google
Docs, a suite of editing
tools that makes working
together better—even
when your teammates are
miles away.
1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): can be used to satisfy the
infrastructure needs of the students, faculties or researcher
globally or locally with some specific hardware configuration
for a specific task.
2. Platform as a Service (PaaS): certain providers are opening
up application platforms to permit customers to build their
own application without the cost and complexity of buying
and managing the underlying hardware and software layers.
3. Software as a Service (SaaS): the application service provider
is hosting the application which runs and interacts through
web browser, hosted desktop or remote client. It eliminates
the need to install and run the application on customer own
computer and simplifying maintenance and support.
4. Computing as a Service (CaaS): providers offer access to raw
computing power on virtual server.
 Cloud computing offers schools, colleges, universities and others
a low cost option for using high concept computing systems.
 Cloud computing to prepare lecture: With the development of
private and educational cloud, new web applications such as
Lecture Tools, Slideshare and Free Open Source Software‟s etc.,
allows the lecturer to get their work done in their web browsers
rather storing and carrying it on the hard drive. Its gives the
benefits such as:
1) Access the files from anywhere
2) Create a backup of your data
3) Stop worrying about additional software licenses
4) Share content more easily
5) Get things done without software hassles
 Confidential and critical data can be stored centrally in the cloud
there is less exposure to threats.
 Cloud computing allows for interconnectivity, students are
exposed to various learning opportunities
1. Access to applications from anywhere
2. Support for teaching and learning
3. 24 X 7 access to infrastructure and content
4. Opening to various universities and advanced
researches
5. Protection of environment by using green
technologies
6. Increased exposure of new IT technologies to
students
7. Increased functional capabilities
8. Offline usage with further synchronization
opportunities

 A single Google doc, file, or folder can only be shared
with 200 people including viewers, commenters, and
editor (doesn't apply to public items).
 Only 50 people can edit and view a document, spread
sheet, presentation, or drawing at the same time.
Additional viewers will still be able to preview the item,
but they won't be able to edit it, and they won't be
visible to others working on the item.
 Up to 10 people can edit and view a presentation or a
document at the same time in the older version of
Google documents.
 If your needs exceed this limit, consider the following:
 When possible, choose the "Public" visibility option.
 Share the doc or file with the mailing list rather than
individual people.
 Cloud computing is current computing paradigm and
next generation platform that can provide tremendous
value of information of any size.
 The shift towards cloud computing would enable the
educational institutions, universities and organizations
to save money and take advantage of this technology.
 Both educational and private cloud can provide the
necessary computational facility on demand by the
user without any expense and can create a global
platform for sharing the number of resources from the
institutes.
 Implemention and analysis of cloud computing using
Google application, Google Drive (Keep everything.
Share anything). bring lots of „revolution‟ in the field of
educational institutes.

It eliminates the need to install and run the application on customer own computer and simplifying maintenance and support. 4. Computing as a Service (CaaS): providers offer access to raw computing power on virtual server.

Its gives the benefits such as: 1) Access the files from anywhere 2) Create a backup of your data 3) Stop worrying about additional software licenses 4) Share content more easily 5) Get things done without software hassles  Confidential and critical data can be stored centrally in the cloud there is less exposure to threats.  Cloud computing allows for interconnectivity, students are exposed to various learning opportunities

Additional viewers will still be able to preview the item, but they won't be able to edit it, and they won't be visible to others working on the item.  Up to 10 people can edit and view a presentation or a document at the same time in the older version of Google documents.  If your needs exceed this limit, consider the following:  When possible, choose the "Public" visibility option.  Share the doc or file with the mailing list rather than individual people.
  • 23.  Cloud computing is current computing paradigm and next generation platform that can provide tremendous value of information of any size.  The shift towards cloud computing would enable the educational institutions, universities and organizations to save money and take advantage of this technology.  Both educational and private cloud can provide the necessary computational facility on demand by the user without any expense and can create a global platform for sharing the number of resources from the institutes.  Implemention and analysis of cloud computing using Google application, Google Drive (Keep everything. Share anything). bring lots of „revolution‟ in the field of educational institutes.
