Gender Most sports are now open to both sexes but they generally compete separately. Task 10 – come up with at least 3 sporting stereotypes. Can you think of any professional sports that are mixed sex?

Gender There are different reasons behind why men and women participate in sport. How does media affect participation? Complete tasks 11&12 with a partner

Gender – Task 13 With the person next to you read through the sports pages of the newspaper provided and make a note of how many stories there are in total. Within that total work out how many involve women and sport. Convert that into a percentage.
