Notas do Editor

  1. The unit I have chosen for CALLT Design lessons is in the ESU Intermediate Structure Curriculum and it consists of two sequential classes. The first class focuses on basic introduction of modal verbs and the second class focuses on how to use modals to make prediction. They are separate classes with interrelated contents and general objectives.
  2. In lesson 1 use the Deductive Instructional Strategy for my class, I give the grammatical usage rules of the modal verbs and then give them examples from everyday speech of the English language. Moreover, I try to incorporate Scaffolding Instructional Method into my teaching. Firstly I’m going to teach the simple modal verbs one by one, and once they learn them, I will switch to compound modal verbs in next lesson
  3. The best Web-Quests inspire students to see richer thematic relationships, to contribute to the real world of learning, and to reflect on their own meta-cognitive processes. These are the power strategies of teaching with Webquests . A Scaffolded Learning Structure, Use of Essential Internet Resources, Authentic Tasks That Motivate, Open-Ended Questions, Individual Expertise, Transformative Group Process can be summeried as what you se on this slide
  4. Now we take a look closer to single concept modals to se how we use them.
