The Chinese festival is the most
celebrated festival in the Chinese
calendar. This year is the year of the
dragon. They have a new animal every
year. Next year is the snake and after
that it is the year of the horse.
3. The Legend
The legend of Chinese new year began
many years ago when the Chinese people
tried to scare off a dragon called Nian.
The fended him off with load noise and
the colour red.

For the Chinese new year they
use firecrackers for their
celebrations. They also have
firework displays
