Russia.
Sochi’s estimated population 360,000
Sochi is very close to the Black Sea
Several matches of the FIFA World Cup will be
held in Sochi, Russia in 2018

WWII- It started when the Russians joined
Germany to control Poland.
Germany betrayed Russia and began to fight
against them. Britain and the USA began to
send supplies to Russia to help fight back.
Russia eventually beat the Germans.
Russia was a communist country.

The winner of the Olympics were given an
olive branch as a token of VICTORY!
The 1st ancient Olympic games were traced
back to 776 BC.
The 1st Olympic games were held in Olympia,
Greece.

Women we not allowed to compete in the
Olympics.
Married women weren’t allowed to even watch
the Olympics!!
All men who participated in the Olympics had
to be fit, speak Greek, and be naked.

Athens, Greece.

In Latin: Citius, Altius, Fortius.
The rings stand for the seven continents:

the Winter Olympics and the world record.
This year’s Winter Olympics had 14,000 torch
bearers.
It took 123 days to travel to get the torch all
around.
