2. Problem
Which storage temperature: freezing,
refrigerated, or room temperature creates
the least amount of unpopped kernels.
3. Procedure
-put 10 packs of popcorn in each the
freezer, refrigerator, and in regular
temperature
-take each temperature popcorn and put
into microwave
-count the unpopped kernels in each batch
-record your data
4. Materials
You need this
- 30 bags of popcorn
- freezer, refrigerator, and microwave
- measuring cup
- 3 large bowl
- three measuring cups
- paper towels
5. Hypothesis
From the research shown, the frozen kernels will produce
the least amount of unpopped popcorn kernels.

7. Results
The results of this experiment turned out to be that the room
temperature kernels produced the least amount of unpopped
kernels. This was because the frozen and refrigerated kernels
didn't have enough moisture and could not expand in pressure.
This made them not be able to pop.
