1. Tour of John Paul Academy

2. This is the entrance to John Paul Academy . Our school motto is “Goodness and Knowledge”. There are playing fields at the back of the school building.

3. The entrance corridor with a video screen to show latest school news and information. The school uses a Q-card system to pay for meals and snacks. You can top up your card using this machine.

4. We have a fitness suite in the school. There are also after-school times when this suite can be used. There are two gyms and a number of changing rooms.

5. The Art department has 3 classrooms and an entrance gallery area. As you can see the pupils have created some excellent and imaginative work!

6. The Home Economics department has two kitchen areas. Pupils have the opportunity to use a range of equipment in these areas.

7. This is part of the Home Economics department where pupils have the opportunity to hand sew and use sewing machines.

8. This is one of the Science rooms. The benches are higher in these rooms and stools are used rather than chairs. These rooms also have Bunsen burners and a range of science equipment.

9. We have an extensive school library with fiction and non-fiction books. We also have a range of computers available for pupils to use within the library. This is one of the modern languages classrooms.

10. There are a number of English classrooms within the school. They are located close to the library. The Maths classrooms are close to the ICT rooms and the Science department.

11. This is part of the technology workshop area. The workshop also has a variety of machines and tools. This year, 1st year have been using saws, G-clamps and set squares to help create xylophones.

12. This is Mrs Franklin’s classroom, Room 60. The classroom includes a break-out area for social communication work

13. This is one of the Music classrooms. A range of instruments are available for learning. Visiting instructors also teach brass, strings and choral work. ICT / Business Studies department. There are a number of classrooms within the school.

14. This is the school Assembly Hall. Every Monday morning S1 have an assembly here. This is the Dining Hall . A variety of tasty, hot and cold food is served.
